bullet   Web Designer

Web Designer/HTML (PHP/ROR/MySQL a plus)

Design dynamic website. Must be intimately familiar with HTML, able to hand code, create tight graphics, work well conceptually, but be able to implement your design(s). Familiarity with MySQL, PHP, RoR, and other current Open Source technologies a big plus. If you can't finish a job or if you're not self-motivated, please save us both the trouble.

Must be experienced in:

  • HTML (on a code level)
  • Web Design Tools (Dreamweaver, GoLive, etc.)
  • Photoshop/ImageReady
  • Firm understanding of web protocols
  • PHP/ROR/MySQL a plus
  • Apache Server Management a plus

Other considerations:

  • College students are welcome to apply - learn on the job!
  • 1099 Contract wage (not W-2), so you can write off* your computer, your car, your gas.
  • If you are well connected (to the internet) you can work from home or abroad, but you must be able to teleconference and communicate effectively through email and attachments

bullet   Windows Media Center Developer

Developer/Programmer for WMC (PHP/ROR/MySQL a plus)

Looking for a programmer or engineer with experience developing for Windows Media Center SDK. We are creating custom content that interoperates within the Windows Media Center. Would prefer a well rounded developer with experiience with other technologies and languages, specifically web 2.0 development under PHP, RubyOnRails, MySQL and other current Open Source technologies a big plus. This would be a definite plus for applicant consideration. If you can't finish a job or if you're not self-motivated, please save us both the trouble.

Celebrity Web Research Panel

Our client is creating a website of Celebrity Profiles, including movie stars, musicians, etc.. Have fun researching your favorite celebrities and famous people and getting paid too! This can be done from the comfort of your home, dorm room, or even at work during your coffee break. We pay per profile created, so if you are fast, have an eye for detail and can generate meaningful personality and movie profiles, you'll have fun with this and make some good money.

Qualifications are:

  • Intelligent, web-savvy individuals
  • An interest in movies, celebrities, literature, history, and/or current events
  • Quickly perform web searches
  • Gather information and compile it in a brief summary format
  • Self motivated, inquiring mind
  • We prefer college students because of their enthusiasm, but no suitable application will be turned away

We are constantly looking for freelance translators to add to our growing pool. We are particularly interested in native speakers and because we specialize in technology product localization, we are prefer tech savvy individuals. Non-native speakers are welcome to submit applications, but we cannot use non-natives for any translation functions (editing and proofing only).
