Web Research Panel

We've broken down what will happen into ten easy steps:

1. Download the forms below (PDF - NDA and W-9).
   

Fill these out on your computer, digitally sign them, or print them out and fax them back (801-796-2125).

2. Fill out the on-line application on the page below.
   

This will give us some idea of your interests and qualifications. Please answer as many of the questions as you can. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

3. A special web account will be created for you and information emailed to your at the email address you provide.
   

The account will be used for the actual gathering and entering of data.

4. Create your own profile.
   

By creating your own profile, you'll see the type of information that the web database will hold. The attention you give to this will help us to predict how well you will be able to create celebrity profiles. This will take approximately 15 minutes, but you're welcome to spend more time and embellish your profile with a photo or photos and links to your favorite sites.

5. Send us an email so that we can see your profile.
   

Give the email a subject line with the text "Wink - <your name>".

6. We'll then send you the first 10 names of celebrity profiles.
   

If there are 10 favorite celebrities or famous people you'd like to profile, please put those names in the email above and we'll confirm that those aren't duplicates with existing profiles. Otherwise we'll send you 10 random profiles. We'll use your preferred category from the form below.

7. Once the first 10 profiles are done, let us know how it went.
   

Copy the 10 names into and email and list approximately how long it took you to do each one. Our in-house efforts average up to 15 profiles per hour, but it will take a bit to get up to speed so the first 10 might take longer. We're interested in anything that will make the job easier and more enjoyable, so we invite your comments Sometimes an interesting personality can also take longer if you want to put more into it. (We're counting on interest in this project to be as much a motivating factor as the monetary reward.)

8. We'll quickly get back to you with more information.
   

.Once we've reviewed the first batch, we'll assess each candidate to make sure that this is the right type of activity for you and for us. We'll judge how long the profiles take as well as the quality of those.

9. Successful Candidates will be invited to jump in.
   

Unsuccessful candidates for the Web Research Panel will receive a $5 stipend by PayPal. Successful candidates will receive the next batch of 100 names and can jump into the project full force. Creating profiles for 100 names takes less than a week to complete working about 2 hours a day, or 10 hours a week.

10. Submit a list of your completed names on a weekly basis.
    

At the end of each week, please send us a list of the names you've completed. We'll review the list, check the quality, and keep track. At the end of the first month, we'll tally completed names and issue a check and a big thank you. Please don't forget to send us your list of completed names as that is the only way we can track what you've accomplished.

Necessary Forms

Please start by downloading and filling out the following forms:

Viewing and printing these forms requires Adobe Acrobat version 4 or later. These need to be completed and returned before you can join the research panel. The Non-disclosure/IPA agreement protects the parties (you, us, and our client) from confusion arising over ownership of the research results (ownership of any research submitted is retained by Geotopia and/or our client(s)). The W-9 is a legal requirement imposed by the IRS and other US agencies for anyone working in the United States. The information you provide in these forms will only be used for the purpose of this and similar projects and will be kept personal and confidential.

Please fax or email back the signed forms. If you can scan the signed forms or sign them digitally, please email it back to us at jobs@geotopia.com as a PDF file. Title the documents [Lastname,Firstname]-NDA.pdf and [Lastname,Firstname]-W9.pdf respectively so that we can identify them. If you cannot scan or email them, please fax them to us at (866) 553-2275. This number is toll free from both the US and Canada. You do not need to include a cover page, but please print your email address on the very top of the page in case it does not fax correctly - we can then at least send you an email to request that you resend it.
